August 2013 meeting and workshop.

Pam was our teacher on Saturday for Mountains and Rivers August 2013 Meeting, we had a lovely afternoon painting our practice piece and mirror compact. Pam was very professional as usual, making it look very easy to follow step by step. Matisse paints were used for this project, they have strong pigments and very much suited to this project, Thanks Pam.

Follow me through the blogs.

In the Newsletter I talked about listing a few clever blogs that I had found to share with you all. I called this 'Follow me through the Blogs'. As a follow up of this you will find that I will place these on Mountains and Rivers blog for your interest.

Follow me through the blog's..............................

I found this blog while looking through YouTube in the craft area. I was quite impressed as they showed you how to make paper flowers from punched out petals. Some time ago I remember that Mum had some paper punches, I had not used them for ages, but the video intrigued  me. There was a lovely red rose made from altered punches cut out from paper, colored and strengthened and made into a brooch.

Even if you like making your own cards, or would just like to browse, take a look at Valitas blog, she is such a talented lady!

Below is the link for some of Valitas's flowers with video;

The CWA rooms were close to bursting at the seams!

Kate's tile painting.
We had 38 students and Kate did a fantastic job teaching us through the process of painting on a wood tile.

It was relaxing to paint and realy everyone's looked great!

Thanks again Kate for a great workshop, you worked hard, and just to let you know it was appreciated.
