Welcome in 2016

2016 marks our 6th year for this blog, Wow!

We have reached over 10 Thousand views.

A very big thank you to all who support Mountains and Rivers Folk and Decorative Painters Group through this blog and Membership.

Last AGM I resigned from the Mountains and Rivers committee due to my ill health, the ladies on the committee do a great job every meeting/workshop, working hard to set up the room and clean up after everyone, and all the preparations in between
I have enjoyed spending time with these lovely ladies and would like to thank every one, I will miss you all, and look forward to seeing everyone at the workshops.

This blog will remain open and I would like to contribute as much as I can, I hope you have as much enjoyment as I do when you read
from Mountains and Rivers blog maybe this will encourage you to join our membership from whatever country you are in. We welcome overseas visitors and members.

Thank you for your continuing support - Lyn.

AGM and Workshop

At the last meeting (AGM) we painted this lovely pattern by Christine Whipper, this was my finnished painting following Christine's instructions.
We had home work of painting the background, tracing on the pattern and blocking in the leaves, the rest was painted at the meeting, it just shows what you can achieve in three hours!

It was lovely to see everyone painting in the meeting, paintings and workshops were also on display for our "no frills" weekend in September, six projects to choose from. It will be very hard to choose this year as all six projects offer something different.
Look out for photo's later, check out the meetings page for more details on this weekend.

Thanks, Lyn, (Publicity)
